Aluminum shims

  Aluminum shims are a wonder. At least that’s what I like to think when I look at them. They float in the air and bend with the wind. They provide a stability that some other materials can’t match, and they’re cheap to produce. I was talking to an employee of one of my suppliers a few months ago, and she mentioned that this particular company has been producing aluminum shims for the last five years or so. She told me how she used to work at another company, which never produced them (I have no idea why). But now her company does and it costs about $1 per pound (1000 pounds are about $10) for shims that are around .015 inch thick, making it cheaper than any other material. Imagine the possibilities! You can shave down your production time by 20%, saving you even more money on your budget every month.
